Building a Gender Friendly School Environment: A Toolkit for Educators and Their Unions

By Scott Pulizzi and Laurie Rosenblum

Education International, EDC, and the World Health Organization have developed a toolkit to help educatorsí unions create a healthy, safe environment in learning institutions for learners of all ages. The goal is to challenge and change negative gender stereotyping and gender inequalities in all aspects of learning institutions and to promote equal opportunities for female and male learners to develop a healthy gender identity and complete a quality basic education. The kit will be used by union leaders and educators in the EFAIDS program in 35 countries around the world.
